Description
  • Position Overview:

    Performs set ups and operates three to five axis mills and/or lathes. Operates mills or lathes to produce required aerospace tolerances and meet production requirements.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sets up and operates equipment such as mills or lathes to machine metal parts to specifications and verifies conformance of parts to specifications
  • Has experience machining metals such as titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel
  • Must follow work instructions to meet aerospace specifications. Product size can range from one inch to sixty-five inches
  • May be required to assist process engineers in developing work procedures for new work
Qualifications
  • Requirements:
    • Must be U.S Citizen
    • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret router requirements
    • Must operate in a safe manner and wear all required PPE
    • Must have basic mathematical and reading skills
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
    • Knowledge of G&M codes is beneficial
    • This is a FAA Safety Sensitive position
