Mill/Lathe Operator – 2nd shift

Machinist – 2nd shift
Description
- Position Overview:
Performs set ups and operates three to five axis mills and/or lathes. Operates mills or lathes to produce required aerospace tolerances and meet production requirements.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Sets up and operates equipment such as mills or lathes to machine metal parts to specifications and verifies conformance of parts to specifications
- Has experience machining metals such as titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel
- Must follow work instructions to meet aerospace specifications. Product size can range from one inch to sixty-five inches
- May be required to assist process engineers in developing work procedures for new work
Qualifications
- Requirements:
- Must be U.S Citizen
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret router requirements
- Must operate in a safe manner and wear all required PPE
- Must have basic mathematical and reading skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Knowledge of G&M codes is beneficial
- This is a FAA Safety Sensitive position
